Welcome to
Mother's Promise
Our Promise is to give mothers the tools to help them prepare, provide and protect their families one baby step at time.
Mother's Helping Mother's Network.
Looking back... all cultures created their communities with help from one another. Mothers' too, have always helped each other to foster strong bonds in family life and worked together to raise their families and develop their communities. The benefits of working together are invaluable.
According the the U.S. Census Bureau over 25 million children including adolescents are living in poverty. This number is growing under the current economic recession over the last 4 years. Approximately 4.2 million children 5 years or younger live in poverty in the United States.* California's median household income is $70,000. However, 14.2% are living at or below the poverty line. A family of three earning just over $15,000 and a family of 4 earning $18,400 a year are considered living in poverty which means they are also going hungry, living without basic needs. This includes homeless families.*
Because Mother's Helping Mother's is community based we are able to volunteer and focus our efforts to those right in our own neighborhoods and see our efforts go to those mothers' and their newborns who need them most. Providing basic baby items & clothing is both a small contribution and a large contribution. Let us help make that connection for you and show you how your gently used items prepare mothers for parenting like no other community connection can.
Mother's Helping Mother's is a network of parents and their families who wish to continue this charitable tradition in their communities.
The first way to help is to view the registry we created for our mothers. We list items which are in high demand and donors contact us when they can help.
Second, we collect gently used baby blankets, clothing, feeding supplies, books, toys, baby carriers, cribs, baby car seats and strollers to get new mothers started off right.
Lastly, we sort these registries by community. All you need to do is find the one closest to yours and donate.
